Cost of water in Cyprus

Postby Stabilo » 30 Sep 2010 18:54

I hate loose change and give or throw most of mine away. However I do save the 5 cent coins as they provide a litre of water at water machines dotted around Cyprus.

It is noticeable that the main (tourist) thoroughfare in Ayia Napa doesn't have a single water machine. Conspiracy methinks between the Cypriot authorities and local shops and bars.

I don't really like very cold water and find the temperature of the water from the water machines just about right (even in the height of summer).

:D we have a little hen on top of the water machine that we and all our guests (so far) put loose change in for the replenishment of the water bottles, it works very well as we are never short of change to fill up.
