Hi Paul,

Not sure whether this is a fault or not but when I access the site I keep getting a blue screen then a box drops down asking be to fill in my name and e-mail or watch a sideshow or click to close. I click on the slide show and on close but it still keeps coming up. What do I need to do to get rid of this?

No it is a design feature primarily to harvest details of potential rental clients for the complex. Also the data management system it links to makes it much easier for me to email owners (and potential rental clients). If I send email to 50+ owners through Outlook etc the mail servers think I am spamming everyone and blocks my account etc. The data management system doesn't have this problem.

Once you enter your details the annoying blue box stops popping up (forever if I have got the coding right).

Just to add a few more details to this.

There are actually two versions of the pop up. One just appears on the home page, which is where potential rental clients are directed. Once you close the pop up it should never appear again.

The second pop up is on every page and when you first enter your details the pop ups still appear to show. You need to ensure you have completed the full registration and refreshed the pages of the forum in your browser. The pop up should then cease.

It works by adding a cookie to your system and if the cookie is there the pop up will not continue. However if you use several computers you would need to register on each machine so the cookie is installed on each machine. You will have to register with a separate email and it will effectively lead to duplicate entries in the database but this is not really a problem (better to be notified twice of a particular issue that not at all). Ensure cookies are enabled in your browser, they are normally by default.
