Local coach pick up Monday morning at 10am, few hours collecting guests in Kapparis, Penera, Ayia Napa and Larnaca. Coach transfer costs €30 and if there are more than a couple of you it may be better to drive to Limassol.
Ship docks back at Limassol around 10 am on Wednesday and there is a lot packed into the 48 hours. Possibly too much but it gives you a taste of Egypt nonetheless.
The ship was refurbished to a high standard in 2009 and has 256 cabins for up to 800 passengers. On board it has a fitness room, night club, duty free shop, cinema, casino, bars, cabaret rooms, restaurant and swimming pool.

Food on board was excellent and included in the price (drinks are extra). Ship sails for Egypt at 3pm and you arrive at Port Said around 7am the next day.
Almost everyone on board went on the comprehensive excursion which included:
Visit to Cairo museum to see ancient Egyptian artefacts including those of King Tut.
Short cruise along the Nile with lunch and entertainment included.
Visit to the pyramids at Giza and the nearby Sphinx.
Visit a traditional papyrus manufacturer and time for shopping.
The coach transfer from Port Said to Cairo takes around 3 hours, each way, so time is limited at each location (not a problem for me as I am easily bored). Ship should set sail for Limassol at 7pm but we didn't arrive back from Cairo until close to 9pm.
Security is paramount in Egypt and our 6 coaches travelled in convoy from Port Said to Cairo and back with a police / army escort most of the way. Each coach is also accompanied by a security guard complete with sub machine gun. Don't let this put you off as kidnap and terrorism occurs all over the world these days and
you are well protected.
Each evening there is a cabaret on board and a nightclub if you have the energy. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and I was ready to relax by the pool on my return.
If you are interested in any trips, excursions, car hire, apartment rentals or looking to purchase property during your stay in Cyprus let me know and I will see what I can do.
